Domestic Shipping
Modern Pets offers free shipping1 on orders over $99 to most metro cities and major regional centres across Australia (excludes oversized items2). Simply use the handy shipping calculator on the product page to see if your suburb qualifies for free shipping. If you are not eligible for free shipping, the cost of shipping will be calculated based on the weight of the order and your location. You will be able to see the shipping cost and estimated delivery time via the shipping calculator before you proceed to payment.
We regret that our warehouse is not accessible to the public. As such, we do not offer a pick-up option. Your order will generally be shipped from our distribution centre, which is located in Melbourne, within 1-2 working days of receiving payment excluding public holidays & weekends.
Most of our parcels are delivered by Australia Post, though we occasionally work with other courier partners to provide efficient and cost-effective delivery. For next-day delivery3, please select Express Shipping at checkout; however, please note that this service isn’t available for all products, and delivery time begins once the parcel is picked up.

For personalised products, please allow an additional 2 business days, as each item is made to order.
All orders will be sent with signature required unless Authority to Leave (ATL) is selected at Checkout, even if delivery instructions are provided. This means if no-one is home the parcel will be taken to your local Post Office for collection. Australia Post no longer leave calling cards as they solely rely on customers to keep an eye on their deliveries via the tracking number and/or Australia Post App. Please aim to be home on delivery days as re-deliveries will incur additional costs. If ATL is selected, we will not cover replacement costs if the parcel goes missing.

International Shipping
International orders are currently accepted for New Zealand only.
Each country has different laws regarding imports from abroad and you may be required to pay additional fees on delivery such as customs clearance charges, duties and taxes. Our shipping rate covers door to door delivery only and does not include import fees if applicable.

2Oversized items are products that exceed the maximum weight and size requirements by Australia Post and can only be transported via courier. Shipping for oversized products is free only for Melbourne customers. You can see the shipping cost to your suburb before placing your order via the shipping calculator. 3Next business day delivery is only available within the Express Post next business day delivery network. The national next business day delivery network operates between capital cities (excluding Darwin; and for Perth, delivery into the CBD only) and some major centres.
